In 2019, EBRPHA’s bold initiative to transform affordable housing in the region was energized with a $29.5 million Choice Housing Implementation (CNI) grant from U.S. Housing and Urban Development. Branded as “BR CHOICE”, this transformation combines resiliency, innovation, and placemaking to give the residents of Melrose East, Smiley Heights, East Fairfield and Ardenwood Village revitalized neighborhoods and opportunities.
