Storytelling

EBRPHA is dedicated to enhancing the lives of our families and communities by providing ACCESS to modern needs. During the COVID-19 pandemic, our team went above and beyond to work with EBR Schools, Baton Roots, Queen Hair, The Council On Aging, The Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank to provide meal deliveries and CATS assisted with reduced bus fees. The CEO remained in constant contact with local, state and federal officials. Our team conducted “Elderly Wellness Checks” to monitor the health and well-being of our seniors. EBRPHA advanced in many forms to create a more sustainable living environment for our community by installing raised bed gardens to grow fresh fruits and vegetables for healthy food options within 11 communities. Our partnerships with Baton Rouge Area Foundation, Junior League of Baton Rouge, 100 Black Men of Metro Baton Rouge, Ltd., Town & Country Furniture, and Front Yard Bikes for their amazing help and support for our Beds for Kids and Beds for Babies Initiative. We were able to supply 50 children and 18 infants that lacked beds,  safer sleeping options. With the help of the Baton Rouge community coming together, our families are able to rest easy knowing their children are in physical beds.
