The mission of the East Baton Rouge Parish Housing Authority is to provide and develop quality affordable housing opportunities for individuals and families while promoting self-sufficiency and neighborhood revitalization. The EBRPHA is an independent, autonomous agency. Its leadership and policy making are vested in a Board of Commissioners. We are part of the change.

UPDATE ON CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) (03-01-2021)

East Baton Rouge Parish Housing Authority Offices remain closed to the public.  However, staff can be reached via email, phone, fax, mail, and our drop box. The EBRPHA has adopted the attached COVID-19 HUD Waivers effective April 10, 2020. 

Reporting Changes: Email your assigned Housing Analyst/Housing Manager if you have any changes. Click here for staff contact information. Paying rent/Evictions: Please make every effort to continue to pay rent per the most recent notice from the Housing Authority. If you are unable to pay your portion due to lost wages send an email to your Housing Analyst/Housing Manager. Housing Choice Voucher families should also communicate with their landlord.

IMPLEMENTED ACTIONS FOR PUBLIC HOUSING RESIDENTS For additional Public Housing information Click here

  • Suspension of all resident activities to include Resident Council and Youth Activities
  • Closure of all property management offices and community rooms
  • Existing repayment agreements will be extended
  • Rental payments should be made via mail or drop box
  • Visitors for social purposes, especially at elderly properties, are discouraged; medically
  • Related visitors and caregivers may continue to visit residents

IMPLEMENTED ACTIONS FOR HOUSING CHOICE VOUCHER RESIDENTS

Suspension of moves except for port-outs to other jurisdictions, and true emergencies such as Violence Against Women Act, and HQS unit removal.
